The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Ratnagiri and Raigad districts of Maharashtra for the next 24 hours. An orange alert has been issued for Palghar, Thane, Pune Ghat, Satara Ghat, Kolhapur Ghat, and Sindhudurg districts. The administration has instructed the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams to remain on alert for any emergencies.
In the past 24 hours (till the morning of June 15), the highest rainfall was recorded in Ratnagiri district (88.1 mm), followed by Raigad (65.3 mm), Sindhudurg (53.8 mm), Thane (29.6 mm), and Yavatmal (17.5 mm).
