IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall over Gujarat, Rajasthan; Northeast to See Wet Spell Ahead

India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Gujarat and Rajasthan till tomorrow with possibility of extremely heavy falls at isolated places over Gujarat. Extremely heavy falls are also likely over West Rajasthan tomorrow. Met department said, very heavy rainfall has been recorded at isolated places in the past 24 hours over West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, East Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Konkan and Goa. The weatherman has forecast isolated heavy rainfall likely over Assam and Meghalaya on the 8th, 11th and 12th of this month. Light to moderate rainfall at many places accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning is likely in the Northeast region during next seven days. Isolated heavy rainfall is likely over East Madhya Pradesh on 10th and 11th, Odisha on 9th and 10th, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during next seven days, and Bihar during 8th to 10th of this month.
