Around 500 people have been arrested from a Hyundai factory site in the US state of Georgia during a raid by immigration authorities. A majority of those detained from the site, which was built by the Korean company to manufacture electric vehicles are Korean nationals. Meanwhile, South Korea’s Foreign Minister Cho Hyun today confirmed that US immigration authorities have arrested hundreds of South Korean nationals in a major raid at the Hyundai factory site in Georgia on Thursday. Cho said that he may visit the United States to discuss with Washington the arrests of hundreds of Koreans by US immigration authorities.
