In ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Cricket, South Africa beat the USA by 18 runs in their Super 8 (Group 2 Match) at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua last night. Chasing a target of 195 runs, USA made 176 for six wickets in the 20 overs.

For USA, Andries Gous unbeaten 80 runs was the top scorer while Harmeet Singh made valuable 38 runs. For South Africa, Kagiso Rabada scalped three wickets while Keshav Maharaj, Anrich Nortje and Tabraiz Shamsi took one wicket each. Earlier, the United States won the toss and opted to bowl. Batting first, South Africa made 194 for four in the stipulated twenty overs. For South Africa, Quinton de Kock scored 74 runs, while Aiden Markram made 46 runs. Quinton de Kock was declared Player of the Match. For the USA, left-arm pacer Saurabh Netravalkar and spinner Harmeet Singh took two wickets each.

Today, India and Afghanistan will begin their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 campaign (Group 1) in a mega encounter. The match will be played at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown in Barbados at 8 PM IST.  England and West Indies will face each other to get their Super 8 campaign off the mark in Group 2 at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia at 6 AM IST.
