The Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sent seasonal fruit mango as gift to India’s West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
A total of 1,000kg mangoes have been handed over to the Indian representatives through the Benapole port in Jashore around 12pm today.
Navaron circle police super Jewel Imran, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Narayon Chandra Pal, DC of Benapole customs house Tanvir Ahmed, AC (Land) Farzana Islam and Deputy Director of Benapole Landport and Mamun Kabir Tarafdar were present there, among others.
DIG of West Bengal police Sukesh Kumar Jain, third secretary of Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata Sheikh Marefat Torikul Islam, Protocol Assistant Azizul Alam and SK Imad were present on the occasion.
