Guv Indra Sena Reddy Nallu urged youth, health workers and Panchayats to accelerate efforts for a TB-free Tripura during the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan awareness workshop. The Governor launched the TB-Mukt Bharat Abhiyan App and emphasized collective action to eliminate tuberculosis.
Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu has called upon the youth to work more sincerely to build a TB-free Tripura and country. He has also called upon to make every Panchayat of the state TB-free. This morning after inaugurating an awareness workshop on TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan at Pragna Bhavan the Governor made these appeals. This programme was organized by the Regional Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, Health and Family Welfare department and National Health Mission.
Addressing the audience there the Governor said, fight against TB is not just a challenge for the medical fraternity, but this is also our expression of collective will, social unity and commitment to work for the welfare of every citizen. This programme aims at strengthening and expediting the process of identification of TB patients, as well as ensuring better treatment facilities for the workers engaged in risky professions. The Governor reiterated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called upon to build TB-free India. The state government is also working towards this end. He said, making Tripura TB-free is our responsibility and duty. He called upon the health workers, public representatives and common people to come forward to fulfill this aim.
At the programme the Governor officially launched the TB-Mukt Bharat Abhiyan App. He also handed over nutritious food to some TB patients. He felicitated the Nikshay Mitras with certificates. NEEPCO, NEDFi, Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura were also felicitated on this occasion. The director of Family Welfare and Preventive Medicines department and State TB Officer Nupur Debbarma deliberated on the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. Additionally some cured patients also spoke about their experiences.

The progamme was also attended by the director of Health and Family Welfare department Dr. Anjan Das, Joint Mission Director of NHM Jubili Debbarma. Welcome address was delivered by acting Principal of RIPSAT Dr. Hrishiraj Chhetri. This news has been shared by the Lok Bhavan.
