The Tripura cabinet on Thursday decided to appoint six Assistant Professors (technical) under the Higher Education department (TIT Narsingarh). The Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) would soon conduct the exam for filling up the posts, said ICA Minister Sushanta Chowdhury after the meeting of the Council of Ministers on Thursday.
Apart from that the cabinet also approved increase of the honorarium of Special Police Officers (SPOs) from Rs. 6,156 to Rs. 7,079 per month.
Chowdhury said, total 3911 SPOs are working under the Home department in the state.
Earlier, they used to get Rs. 6156 as monthly honorarium. Now, they would get Rs. 7079 per month as per the cabinet decision, Chowdhury told the media.
He also said, the drivers would also get Rs. 9000 as decided by the council of ministers.
“There are 266 drivers. They work overtime and hence their honorarium has been fixed at Rs. 9000,” he said.
Under the Social Welfare and Social Education department, the Chief Minister’s Meritorious Awards for students with benchmark disabilities would be given, he said.
“One time award of Rs. 24000 will be given to top 5 students in Madhyamik examinations and one time award of Rs. 54000 will be given to top 5 disabled students in Higher Secondary examinations,” he added.
CM to inaugurate MSSSKA 3.0 on Sept 03
Mukhyamantri Shustho Shaishab Shustho Kaishore (MSSSKA) campaign has been launched on Thursday which will continue till September 15 next.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha will formally inaugurate the campaign at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan on Saturday, said State Director of National Health Mission Subhasish Das in a press conference on Thursday.
He said, “The third phase of Mukhyamantri Sustho Shaishab Sustho Kaishore Abhiyan shall commence from September 1-15”.
During these eleven days the health workers of the district will give free vaccines or medicines for six diseases such as worms, pneumonia, iron deficiency, tetanus etc. to every child of zero to sixteen years old.
Anganwadi workers, Asha workers, MPWs, Nodal persons shall provide doses of various diseases including anti-helminthic will be provided in every government, non-government schools, Anganwadi centres, Colleges etc. from September 5-8.
