
On Thursday, Minister for Transport and Tourism, Sushanta Chowdhury, led a high-level review meeting at the Conference Hall of Jirania SDM Office, attended by officials from various line departments. During the session, the minister meticulously assessed the progress of ongoing projects and addressed any existing challenges.
Chowdhury emphasized the importance of accelerating developmental endeavors across different blocks within the Jirania subdivision. He stressed the necessity for effective coordination between public representatives and administrative officials to ensure timely execution of projects, emphasizing that any negligence in this regard must be avoided.
Furthermore, the Transport and Tourism Minister provided pertinent suggestions and directives to the officials, underscoring the objective of modernizing facilities and infrastructure throughout the Jirania subdivision. He highlighted the significance of enhancing living standards for citizens through such initiatives.
Asserting the government’s commitment to delivering better and quality services, Chowdhury reaffirmed the fulfillment of promises outlined in election manifestos, citing substantial development witnessed in Tripura as a result. He urged all departmental officials to work diligently in line with the government’s vision for establishing good governance.
The minister emphasized the phased implementation of projects aimed at public welfare, with increased supervision to ensure work quality and uphold the government’s transparent image. Specifically addressing the electricity department, Chowdhury called for heightened awareness among employees to provide uninterrupted electricity services.
Various issues concerning the drinking water and health departments, as well as the progress of unfinished work under the Jal Jeevan Mission project in the entire Jirania subdivision, were thoroughly discussed. Instructions were also issued to the food department officials to maintain the public distribution system effectively.
Additionally, matters pertaining to the Department of Rural Development were extensively deliberated upon during the meeting. Among those present were Sub-Divisional Magistrate Shanti Ranjan Chakma, Additional Sub-Divisional Magistrate Animesh Dhar, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Kamal Krishna Kallai, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Supervisor Jirania Soumen Kumar Das, Satyanarayan Sarkar, and senior officers from various line departments.
