Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu has called upon doctors to embody the spirit of Seva (selfless service) while treating patients, emphasising its role in building public confidence.
Advocating the utilisation of free government hospital services, the governor emphasised that delivering effective medical care in these facilities could dissuade people from seeking private healthcare.
During his inspection of Agartala Government Medical College and GBP Hospital, Governor Nallu expressed contentment with the services provided. He underscored GBP Hospital’s status as a referral centre with modern facilities and urged the development of a friendly hospital environment to alleviate public apprehensions.
Following the inspection, the governor held a meeting with officials to discuss existing facilities and educational courses. Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Sandeep R. Rathod and other officials accompanied Governor Nallu during his hospital visit.
