Former West Tripura District Dr  Milind Ramteke  has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Social Justice and Social Welfare Pratima Bhowmik.

Dr.  Ramteke’s (IAS:2009:TR) had gone to deputation in the Union government and was made Deputy Director , a position of Deputy Secretary level in the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie. He was  appointment to the post Private Secretary to Pratima Bhoumik, Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Ramteke to the post of Private Secretary for a period up to 07.01.2024 (i.e. for the balance period of his four years central deputation tenure) with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or on co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Before going to central deputation, he held important posts in Tripura like additional secretary to the Chief Minister of Tripura and District Magistrate, West Tripura. He is a 2009-batch IAS officer of Tripura cadre.
