The ruling TIPRA Motha in TTAADC on Wednesday announced that the party woul organize a mass rally in Swami Vivekananda Ground on March 12 to intensify their demand of ‘Greater Tipra Land’.
The TIPRA Motha chief Pradyot Kishore Deb Burman on Wednesday addressed a press conference at Ujjayanta Palace and said, “Greater Tipra Land’ is a constitutional right of the indigenous people of the state. This is a demand of both Bengalis and indigenous people of Tripura.”
“The demand of Greater Tipra Land is neither against any community or nor is it to deprive the rights of the people of any community,” Deb Burman said.
He also demanded early completion of the long-pending village council elections and replied to the media that until and unless there is any alliance with any political party, the TIPRA Motha would contest independently during the coming elections in the state.
