In Assam, life has been thrown out of gear in the state due to the second wave of floods. Over 24 lakh people in 30 districts are reeling under the fury of floods. However, no death has been reported in the last 24 hours.

Many places in  Guwahati city has also witnessed water logging due to which vehicle movement has been affected. The IMD has predicted heavy to very rains at isolated places in Upper Assam. Nearly 47 thousand people had to leave homes due to floods and shifted to temporary relief camps. Our Correspondent reports that the Kaziranga National Park Authority has rescued nearly 100 wild animals so far but unfortunately, around 90 animals died due to flood.
