Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 would be launched in Tripura from Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary, at Rajnagar in South Tripura district on Friday. The Run will be organized as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,
Later similar programmes will be held in different districts of Tripura by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan every week.
Eminent Personalities from different walks of Life will attend the event. The run will start at 7.30 am from Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary, Joychandpur, Rajnagar followed by homage to the martyrs of Freedom Struggle and other activities, state Director Jaba Chakraborty of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Tripura informed this.
Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports- Anurag Singh Thakur will launch the country-wide programme of Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 from Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi. Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports- Nisith Pramanik will also attend the event.
