Finance Minister Not Promoting Investment Platform, Says Govt in Misinformation Alert

The Government has debunked claims made in a video circulating on social media about Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The video falsely claims that she is promoting an investment platform that promises returns of up to 12 lakh rupees per month from a 21,000 rupees investment. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau has termed this claim as fake, stressing that no such scheme has been launched or endorsed by the Finance Minister or the Government of India. It also urged people not to fall for such misinformation and to verify content before trusting or sharing it.
