We all have to work unitedly in the fight against Covid-19 this time just like we did previously. Everyone must come forward for assisting frontline warriors, health workers and the police administration, enunciated Information & Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury in a revie meeting on the present Covid-19 situation organized by Jirania sub-division administration at Agnibina Hall. The Minister specially emphasized upon maintaining safety in market places. He also emphasized upon sanitizing market places time to time, performing Covid-19 tests in the market places and following government safety protocols such as social distancing, wearing masks etc. The Minister asked the Nagar Panchayats and Municipal Councils to take the responsibility in this regard.
The Minister ordered the sub-division administration and the police administration to keep vigil on goods loaded trucks passing the inter-state truck terminus in Jiranira sub-division on daily basis and to test everyone to prevent spread of Covid-19 infection. The Minister then got acquainted about the vaccination drive that is going on for 15-18 years age group. It has been informed that 80 % vaccination has been completed in the sub-division. The Minister asked health workers to seek assistance of public representatives where number of vaccinations taken were less. While speaking about the infrastructure of the health department, he said that the health infrastructure of the state is good presently.
Other dignitaries present in the review meeting were Chairperson of Nagar Panchayat Ratan Kumar Das, Belbari BAC Chairman Roken Debbarma, Jirania BAC Chairman Shubhamani Debbarma, Vice-Chairman of Jirania Panchayat Samiti Pritam Debnath, SDM Jiban Krishna Acharya, SDPO Himadri Prasad Das, BDO of Jirania, Old Agartala, Mandwi blocks and representatives of different Bazar Committees, socialist Gouranga Bhowmik, socialist Abhijit Debbarma and OC of Ranir Bazar PS Somen Das. After the review meeting, the Minister visited Jirania inter-state truck terminus.
