The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has recorded an all-time high net addition of 21.89 lakh members during June this year. The figure represents an increase of 9.14 per cent, marking the highest recorded addition since payroll data tracking began in April 2018.
In a statement, the Ministry of Labour and Employment informed that around 10 lakh 62 thousand new subscribers have been enrolled this month, representing a 12.68 per cent increase over May 2025 and a growth of 3.61 per cent compared to June previous year. The Ministry stated that around 6 lakh 39 thousand new subscribers were added in the 18-25 age group. Further, more than three lakh new female subscribers joined the EPFO, reflecting an increase of approximately 15 per cent, compared to the previous month.
