Before the second phase of voting in West Bengal, the Election Commission of India has once again published an additional voter list following the directive of the Supreme Court. After resolving applications submitted to the tribunal, 1,468 new voters have been included in the updated list, while six names have been removed.
Tomorrow, voting will take place in 142 assembly constituencies across seven districts in the state as part of the second phase of elections. The Commission has stated that the names newly added to this supplementary list will be able to exercise their voting rights.
Earlier, before the first phase of voting, an additional voter list was also published in compliance with the court’s order, which had included the names of 139 voters for the first phase.
