Telangana Police’s EAGLE Force, along with Customs Hyderabad and NCB, dismantled a transnational OG Ganja smuggling racket linked to Bangkok. A woman was arrested at Hyderabad Airport with 2.15 kg of OG weed worth Rs 2 crore. Investigators uncovered an international drug trafficking network operating across multiple Indian cities.

In a major breakthrough against international drug trafficking, Telangana Police’s Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE Force), working in coordination with Customs Hyderabad and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), has dismantled a transnational ‘OG Ganja’ smuggling network operating between Bangkok and India. Authorities arrested a woman at Hyderabad Airport and seized 2.15 kilograms of high-value OG weed worth approximately Rs 2 crore.

According to officials, the woman was intercepted immediately after arriving from Bangkok. During a thorough inspection, law enforcement personnel recovered the contraband concealed in her possession. The seizure is being considered one of the significant drug interceptions linked to international smuggling routes in recent months.

Investigators revealed that the operation exposed a well-organized syndicate involved in recruiting women as drug couriers. The network allegedly targeted financially vulnerable individuals by offering them attractive incentives and foreign travel opportunities. Many of the recruits were reportedly unaware of the full extent of the criminal operation they were participating in.

The investigation further uncovered the involvement of a junior artist who had made multiple trips to Bangkok. Authorities believe she was repeatedly used by the syndicate to transport OG ganja into India. Reports indicate that smugglers paid her between Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000 for each trip. The arrested woman has been identified as Doddi Noorikala.

Officials stated that the criminal network had established operations across several major cities, including Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bengaluru. The syndicate allegedly relied on junior artists, domestic helpers, and other vulnerable individuals to transport narcotics while attempting to evade law enforcement agencies.

During the course of the probe, investigators identified Challil Puthan Purayil Nasheed as a key conspirator in the racket. Authorities are examining his role in coordinating the movement of narcotics and managing courier networks operating across state and international borders.

The case has already resulted in multiple arrests. Ganga Bhavani, an aide of the junior artist, was arrested earlier in connection with the same investigation. Another woman identified as Gauri was apprehended at Chennai Airport during a related operation.

EAGLE Force officials said the investigation has revealed links to foreign-based handlers, interstate operatives, and multiple carriers involved in organized drug trafficking. Authorities believe the syndicate was part of a larger international network responsible for smuggling narcotics into India through various routes.

Law enforcement agencies are continuing efforts to identify additional suspects and trace the international connections behind the operation. Investigators are particularly focused on locating foreign handlers and dismantling the broader network facilitating the movement of drugs across borders.

Meanwhile, the anti-drugs force has intensified its search for the main accused, identified as Alex and Raju Biswas, who remain absconding. Officials expressed confidence that ongoing investigations will lead to further arrests and help dismantle the entire smuggling chain.
