Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma on Sunday attended the meeting of BJP Chief Ministers Council with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BJP all India president JP Nadda was also present in the meeting.
Sources from Ne Delhi said as many as 12 Chief Ministers and eight Deputy Chief Ministers of BJP and NDA ruled States at party’s headquarters
During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized on better implementation of some of the centrally sponsored important schemes and initiatives like- GatiShakti, Har Ghar Jal, Svamitva, DBT implementation, Government eMarketplace etc.
On the rural area development the Prime Minister stressed on the significance of Gobardhan and the need to further popularise the initiative. Modi underlined the positive impact of nano-fertilizers on crop productivity, and spoke about increasing its usage. Prime Minister stressed on the need to ensure saturation-level coverage of all key schemes and said that BJP ruled states should take a lead towards this.
The Prime Minister asked the Chief Ministers to ensure that their states accord due importance to sports and ensure provision of best facilities for encouraging participation and engagement of youth in large numbers. He said, BJP ruled states should aim to become known for their sporting culture.
In the meeting, the progress of the Amrit Sarovar Mission and preparation for the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign were also reviewed.
Tripura Chief Minister Dr Saha apprised the Prime Minister of the present status of the centrally sponsored schemes in brief. He was supported by Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma.
Sources said, they would attend the dinner to be hosted in the honour of the President. They would also attend the swearing in ceremony of new President Droupadi Murmu on Monday.
