In Gujarat, nearly 163 DNA samples of the deceased of the recent Ahmedabad plane crash have been successfully identified so far and 124 mortal remains were handed over to the family members. Medical Superintendent of Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, Dr Rakesh Joshi told media that 24 mortal remains will be handed over tomorrow morning. The state administration has stated that DNA sampling for identifying the plane crash victims is nearly complete. The state FSL, in collaboration with central agencies, has been expediting the forensic and legal formalities.Meanwhile, Air India’s flight to London from Ahmedabad, which started operating with a new code after the plane crash, was cancelled today due to the unavailability of aircraft, resulting from airspace curbs and additional precautionary checks.
