CPM’s youth wings Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Tripura Youth Federation (TYF) kick started state-wide campaign from Wednesday against the BJP-led Tripura government, highlighting the failure of the ruling front based on 7-point charter of demands.

The DYFI and the TYF workers and supporters led by the DYFI state president Palash Bhowmik on Wednesday walked on a rally here at Agartala to press for the demands including opening of employment opportunities for the youths of the state.

The BJP led Tripura and Central government are responsible for unemployment in the state, and it is for the BJP that so many youths are jobless today, alleged Bhowmik and added that the DYFI and the TYF would continue the statewide movement against the BJP government throughout the month of June.

The 7-point charter of demands of the DYFI and the TYF includes – conducting TET examinations every year and arrangement of an immediate job for the TET and Nursing qualified aspirants, administrative action against the growing trend of drugs and gambling

Besidesm the CPM is also began organizing several programmes keeping an eye on upcoming Assembly Polls. In an attempt to rebuild its base, CPM held an ‘Information collection’ meeting at Gandachhera on Wednesday. In this programme, Opposition leader Manik Sarkar, MLAs Bhanu Lal Saha, Ratan Bhowmik, Sahid Chowdhury and Sudhan Das and others were present. People from Dumboor Nagar and Raishyabari blocks under Gandachhera sub-division attended the programme and shared their views on REGA, road connectivity, Drinking water, Health, Power, irrigation, Education and other ‘burning issues’, party sources claimed.
