For the second day on Sunday Tripura recorded three more Covid related deaths – taking the tally during this third wave Covid surge to six.
The spread of the Covid -10 continued with a formidable force registering 13.35 percent positivity. The rate on Sunday shot up from 9.40 per cent on Saturday.
According to official statement on Sunday not only three persons died of Covid infection but also 1,168 persons found to be positive. On Saturday the figure was 546. Out of 1,168 postive persons 575 were from West Tripura district, 138 from Unakorti district , 100 from Dhalai district. Sepahijala and Gomati districts both recorded 86 positive while North Tripura recorded 88 and South Tripura 71.
State government said, there was no reason to worry as far as health infrastructure to meet the situation was concerned, but appealed people to strictly follow the Covid guidelines.
