With indications available of the imminent next wave of the Covid , Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb asked the people of the state to be alert and take all precautions like the previous times to stay safe from the infection. While addressing a programme at Lalbahadur Byamagar at his constituency on Sunday the Chief Minister hoped that people would once again follow the Covid appropriate behaviors as prescribed by the experts and doctors.

“There is no need to worry . We already got Corona vaccines. Around 50 percent of the population below 18 years has also been covered. Besides, we have all required infrastructures in place. Nevertheless, since the Covid threat still exists. We have to stay alert”, he said

“Its time again to maintain physical distance and put on the mask and remain in hygienic environment”, he said.

“As we have almost defeated Corona and now, we have sufficient stock of safety gears and medical essentials, there is no need to worry but the people should stay alert,” Deb said.

It may be mentioned here that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to discuss about Covid preparedness with the Chief Minister on Wednesday.

In the programme he flagged-off an ambulance purchased from the MLA local area development fund for the club.

Deb also advised every individual to regularly follow the Tweets and Facebook posts of the Prime Minister and Chief Minister for staying updated.

Secretary of Agartala Press Club and president of Lalbahadur Byamagar- Pranab Sarkar, AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder, chairman of Tea Board Santosh Saha and councillor Himani Debbarma were present in the programme.

The Chief Minister announced that apart from 1000 police constables, recruitment for around 2500 special executive posts would also take place where 33 percent women reservation policy would be followed. In this context, he asked the women to stay aware about their rights.
