Koppal/UNI: National BJP President JP Nadda Thursday said the Congress cannot think beyond using power for their purpose and earning through commission.

The Congress does not know what development is. They know only one thing how to come to power, use it for their purpose, and earn through commission. The Congress cannot think beyond this, he said addressing a gathering after inaugurating BJP offices in 10 districts of poll-bound Karnataka.

Nadda also said the BJP is the only party that strives to serve the people and change their destinies, whereas other parties work for their families and earn through commission.

Targeting senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah, Nadda said the Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly does not have moral rights to question the performance of the BJP government in Karnataka because CM Basavaraj Bommai and his predecessor BS Yediyurappa carry report cards of the works undertaken by them.

The only thing Siddaramaiah can explain is how he divided communities in the state, he said, referring to the former CMs plans to split Lingayat and Vokkaliga communities for electoral gains.

Nadda also said the BJP is the only party that works with a nationalistic zeal, and it has been at it since 1951-52.

Justifying the remark, he listed some of the BJPs historical efforts including abrogation of Article 370, Jan Sangh leader Shyama Prasad Mookerjees sacrifice in Kashmir, Goas liberation movement, protests against a road in Shimla pact, flying the Indian tricolour in Lal Chowk in Srinagar and raising Shah Bano case.
