Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha- Biplab Kumar Deb on Tuesday said a section is trying to disrupt the development process in the state.
Deb, who addressed a huge rally organized by BJP Gomati district unit at Thalcherra in Amarpur to mark Janajatiya Gaurav Diwas, said those whose political future is in dark are misleading the people with the futile dream of future development.
He said, multifaceted plans are being implemented across the state to improve the socio-economic status of the Janajati people. The presence of such a large number of people in the rally itself reflects the confidence of the people in the present government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Deb said, the Janajati people were deprived for a long time following political reasons. But, the benefits of the double-engine government are now changing their lives.
He also said, the Congress and Communist parties have no future. The development which is now taking place in the state is just because of the sincere efforts of the BJP.
Deb recalled that the communist party exploited the Janajati people the most. He made an appeal to the Janajati people not to pay attention to any kind of temptation, be it ethnic or otherwise.
BJP Gomati district president Abhishek Debroy and other local leaders were present in the rally. The presence of women was noticeable.
Development of the tribals is the key to building a strong nation. Giving the tribal society their deserved respect and with the thought of their development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called on everyone to observe November 15 as Janajatiya Gaurav Diwas, enunciated Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and AYUSH Sarbananda Sonowal at the State-Level Janajatiya Gaurav Diwas celebration programme organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of brave freedom fighter Birsa Munda at Dashamighat, Ambassa today. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, Food, Civil Supplies & consumer Affairs Minister Manoj Kanti Deb, Tribal Welfare Minister Rampada Jamatia, MP Rebati Tripura, MLA Parimal Debbarma, MLA Sambhulal Chakma, Chairman of India Tourism Development Corporation Dr. Sambit Patra, Secretary of Tribal Welfare department L. T. Darlong, former Chairman of Tripura Khadi Board Rajib Bhattacharjee, Dhalai DM & Collector Dr. Sidharth Shiv Jaiswal and Dhalai district SP Ramesh Yadav were present in the programme.
