The Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) price has been hiked by Rs 3.89 per kilogram in Delhi-NCR. With today’s price hike, CNG in the national capital now costs 86 rupees 98 paise per kilogram. The revised CNG prices have come into effect from 6 AM today.
Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has said that even after this revision, the CNG retail price in Delhi continues to be amongst the most economical options for consumers. IGL said that due to the re-escalation of the West Asia crisis since July this year, CNG consumption is witnessing a significant jump in line with the fast-growing Indian economy and surging consumer demand. The company said these factors have resulted in a considerable increase in input gas cost for the CNG segment.
