Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb inaugurated the new building of Teliamura Higher Secondary School and Khowai district-level Science Fair- 2022 on Wednesday.

 Speaking at the programme, Deb highlighted various plans taken by the state government for development of the education sector.

 “The state government is implementing a series of plans including Mission 100 Vidyajyoti Scheme for the overall development of the education system,” Deb said.

 He also said his government is committed for timely implementation of various works with a target to ensure infrastructure development and improvement of citizen services.

 During the inaugural ceremony, the Chief Minister had interactions with the school children. An eve of the Mizo Community presented a Vakiria, the traditional headgear, to the Chief Minister.

 Later Deb wrote in a Facebook post, “It is an honour to receive “Vakiria (traditional headgear)” from one of my sisters of Mizo Community. I am indebted to all the communities of #Tripura for the affection I have received and always try to give my best in the service of the public to repay that debt.”

 The Chief Minister, accompanied by MLA Kalyani Roy, then inspected the science models showcased by the students in the Khowai district-level Science Fair.

 Later Deb participated in an organizational meeting at Teliamura where he discussed the ways to strengthen the organization.
