Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb had a courtesy meet with President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday and invited him to visit Tripura.

He wrote on a Facebook Post, “It was an honour to meet the Hon’ble President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind Ji today. Asked about his well-being and invited him to visit #Tripura and bless the people of the state.”

Deb, who attended the reception ceremony of Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh’s son, also had courtesy meetings with Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Gen. V.K. Singh, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Giriraj Singh, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, RSS party functionary Ram Lal, MP Ravi Kishann, Chief Minister of Meghalaya Conrad Sangma, Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu and party national spokesperson Dr. Sambit Patra.

Earlier on the day, Deb along with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attended the special 1,11,000 Hanuman Chalisa path at Param Shivaya Shiv Mandir, Bihlongoni, Guwahati.

Spiritual leader Keshav Das Maharaj, CEM KAAC Tuliram Ronghang, BJP Assam president Bhabesh Kalita and general secretary (org) Phanindra Sharma were present on the occasion.
