“I am appealing to my indigenous brothers and sisters to join the Bharatiya Janata Party, knowing that Prime Minister Modi constantly thinks about the welfare of tribal people. Our state government, under his guidance, is also working in the same direction. If more indigenous people come forward and strengthen the BJP, both Tripura and India will move towards a stronger future,” Dr. Saha said.

PM Modi’s Vision for Indigenous Development

Highlighting the Centre’s commitment, the Chief Minister praised PM Modi’s Tribal Welfare vision and consistent focus on tribal uplift. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is deeply concerned about the development of indigenous communities. His government has implemented several schemes and initiatives that directly benefit tribal people—whether it’s in healthcare, education, or infrastructure,” Dr. Saha noted.

BJP Welcomes Over 140 New Members from Congress and CPIM

The Foundation Day event also witnessed a major political development, as around 140 people from 50 families formally joined the BJP. Most of them were previously associated with the Congress and the Communist Party of India (Marxist).

“Today’s conference was mainly organized for our active party members, but it turned into a moment of political significance with so many joining our fold. I warmly welcome them into the BJP family. Their faith in our leadership and vision is a testimony to the shifting political sentiment in Tripura,” Dr. Saha said.

A United Government Beyond BJP

“This government is no longer just the BJP’s. We have IPFT and Tipra Motha with us. Going forward, we will decide on our strategies after thorough discussions with all allied parties

The Chief Minister also stressed that the current government is not just about the BJP but represents a broader alliance committed to inclusive development. “This government is no longer just the BJP’s. We have IPFT and Tipra Motha with us. Going forward, we will decide on our strategies after thorough discussions with all allied parties,” Dr. Saha stated.

He noted that senior leaders of the BJP’s tribal wing were present at the event, underscoring the party’s commitment to tribal leadership and representation.
