Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Statehood Day reaffirmed commitment to building a New Tripura under PM Modi’s leadership, highlighting inclusive development, transparent governance, Act East Policy impact, infrastructure growth, empowerment of youth, women, and tribal communities.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Wednesday reaffirmed the state government’s unwavering commitment to building a “New Tripura,” marked by inclusive development, transparent governance, empowered citizens, and robust infrastructure, while addressing the main Statehood Day function held at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief Minister highlighted the transformative impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, describing it as dynamic, farsighted, and people-centric. He said that the Prime Minister’s vision has ushered in an era of turbo-charged development and genuine empowerment across Tripura, especially benefiting youth, women, and Janjati (tribal) communities, while preserving India’s timeless values and rich cultural heritage.

Underlining the guiding principles of the present administration, CM Saha stated that the Tripura government, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, remains firmly committed to ensuring transparent, accountable, and citizen-focused governance. He emphasized that governance reforms are aimed at improving service delivery, strengthening institutions, and ensuring that development reaches the last mile.

“The state strides confidently towards the vision of a New Tripura — a vibrant tapestry woven from inclusive development, rich cultural heritage, empowered youth, world-class infrastructure, and a self-reliant tomorrow,” the Chief Minister said while addressing a packed audience comprising government officials, public representatives, and citizens from across the state.

Reaffirming his government’s determination, Saha added, “I reaffirm our rock-solid resolve to forge a stronger, more prosperous, and forward-looking Tripura.” He urged citizens to actively participate in the state’s development journey and contribute towards collective progress.

Highlighting the significance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Act East Policy, the Chief Minister noted that Tripura and the entire Northeastern region are witnessing rapid development across multiple sectors. Improved connectivity, better road and rail networks, enhanced digital infrastructure, and cross-border trade opportunities have positioned Tripura as a strategic gateway to Southeast Asia.

CM Saha said that since the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government assumed office in Tripura in 2018, the state has emerged as one of the leading performers across several key sectors. These include agriculture, education, healthcare, industrial growth, infrastructure development, women’s empowerment, public safety, and initiatives promoting self-reliance.

He observed that targeted policies, welfare schemes, and institutional reforms have significantly improved the quality of life for citizens. The government’s focus on skill development, entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment has opened new avenues for employment and innovation, particularly for young people in rural and tribal areas.

The Chief Minister also outlined the core objectives of the state government, which include strengthening the economy, ensuring optimal utilization of Tripura’s natural and human resources, decentralizing power, and promoting transparency through technology-driven governance. He said that public participation and accountability are essential pillars of sustainable development.
