The present government does not believe in only talking about protecting women rights. The government has shown it in constitutional way by ensuring 33% reservation for women in jobs. It was announced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in his recent state tour, enunciated Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in an interactive session with students and teachers of five different colleges – Bir Bikram Memorial College, Tripura Government Law College, MBB College, Ramthakur College and Women’s Polytechnic College organized at Rabindra Bhawan today.
The Chief Minister said, every student wants to build their personality through studies. Some want to build themselves as the best personality. Personality is very important to establish oneself in any field. He said, nowadays everyone can see Prime Minister’s tweets due to the social media which never happened before. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has mentioned about being grateful towards the citizens of the country in different times in Man Ki Baat programme. He also spoke about various achievements in Man Ki Baaat. He also gave services such as internet, digitalization, CSC etc. Wherever the Prime Minister goes, he always mentions Tripura, which is a matter of pride for us all. His personality and thought process is also appreciated across the world in the present time which is why the new generation is willing to involve themselves in political field.
The Chief Minister said, the government is sincere towards protecting women rights, which is why the present government has made efforts to protect women rights legally instead of merely talking about protecting women rights. After the present government took over, 10% seats have been reserved for women in Home department, as a result, 10% women got job opportunity as TSR Riflemen. Even M.A and M.Phil pass outs have taken the job as TSR Rifleman. He said, only positive thinking can take a person forward in life. The present society is changing. Now girl child are not seen in negative way, as women are walking hand in hand with men. He said, Tripura is forging ahead in different sectors. International level National Forensic Science University is being set up in Anandanagar where 3 thousand students from different parts of the country and abroad can come to study in this institution. Crime rates has lessened in Tripura. Any kind of investigation will be faster through the Forensic Science University.
While interacting with teachers, the Chief Minister emphasized upon helping students to build bright future for themselves. He listened to every student patiently in the interactive session. During interaction, it was discovered that few students were interested to join political field and in social works. The students also shared about their talents to the Chief Minister. Other diginitaries present were Director of Higher Education department N.C Sharma, Principal of MBB College Dr. Dipannita Chakraborty, Principal of Tripura Govt. Law College Dr. Ranjan Mishra, Principal of Ramthakur Colege Dr. Chitra Pal, Principal of BBM College Dr. Ratan Deb and Principal of Women’s Polytechnic College Dr. Tirtharaj Sen.
