Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb inaugurated  Kalyani Dey Lane at Banamalipur on Sunday.Kalyani Dey was councilor of the AMC in 2010. In the programme he extensively dwelt on the state government’s steps regarding educational development and other sectors. He said the state will soon get as many as 100 CBSE affiliated institutions.

He also pointed out that now there was no scope for ‘commission’ business by anyone like the previous Left Front regime as all the recuirtment and MGNREGA payments tender process were done digitally.  

Kalyani Dey Foundation chairman veternan journalist Subal Kumar Dey spoke in length about Banamalipur constituency and as to how it developed during the time of former Chief Minister Sukhamoy Sengupta,. He also spoke about the contribution of Kalyani Dey as an AMC Councillor for the development of the area. 

Former Vice Chancellor of Tripura University Arunaday Saha, Principal secretary to Urban development department Kiran Gitte, District Magistrate Debapriyo Bardhan were also present on the occasion. Purvaudaya general secretary Niti Deb also attended the programme.
