It is the duty of the government as well as the public to protect and maintain government infrastructure as all these infrastructures are built up for public welfare, said Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb after virtually inaugurating 101 Paver Block Roads through video conference today at the conference hall of Unakoti District Magistrate office. He said, these Paver Block Roads on one hand will benefit rural areas in transportation, on the other hand will play a vital role in development of rural areas. It is to be noted that the length of 101 Paver Block Roads is total 55.62 kms. These roads were constructed in 107 Gram Panchayats and ADC Villages. These roads will last long in all seasons. Prior to this, the Chief Minister inaugurated a Paver Block Road in Tilthoi under Jubarajnagar block. After that the Chief Minister and other dignitaries visited the newly constructed road. The concerned officials acquainted the Chief Minister about the architecture and technology used to construct the road.

 Chief Minister in the programme said, the state government has been working for the overall development of the state. Besides expanding the services, importance is being given to infrastructure development. These newly constructed roads will be beneficial to rural areas and its nearby areas. He said, government means public which is why it is also public’s duty to protect and maintain any property built by the government for the people. These Paver Block Roads are made to last long.

Other dignitaries present in the inaugural programme were Deputy Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Biswa Bandhu Sen, MLA Binoy Bhushan Das, Sabhadhipati of North Tripura Zila Parishad Bhabatosh Das, Secretary of Revenue department Puneet Agarwal, North Tripura District Magistrate, and Police Superintendent.

The Chief Minister also later paid floral tribute to the image of Late MLA and former Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Ramendra Chandra Debnath at his residence in Tilthoi under North Tripura district and paid condolences to his family. Later the Chief Minister left for Ramthakur Seva Mandir in Dharmanagar.
