Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb took to twitter war and set his guns blazing at CPM leader Sitaram Yechury to flay the Marxists over the political violence legacy in Tripura.
In response to a tweet by Yechury on Monday Deb in his reply wrote that Tripura had recorded 75 incidents of political conflicts in 2017 (Left regime) with 175 victims. But, after the formation of the new government, the number of political conflicts had come down to 22 with 51 victims.
“Violence in Tripura is legacy of CPM. In 2017 during CPM rule, 75 incidents of political conflicts, 175 victims & rate 1.9%. In just 3 years, we have drastically reduced it to 1/3rd with just 22 incidents, 51 victims & rate 0.5%. To remove crime from Tripura, remove CPM,” Deb tweeted.
Earlier sharing a news, Yechury tweeted, “This National Crime Records Bureau report confirms that the BJP state government in Tripura is resorting to fascistic methods against CPI(M) to cover up it’s misrule & growing unpopularity.”
