With the initiative of Tripura Civil Service Officer’s Association, a vehicle carrying relief materials has been sent off for Silchar, Assam and nearby flood affected areas. A truck carrying relief materials worth 10 lakh rupees collected by the Association was flagged off by the Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha in front of Ujjayanta Palace today.

The Chief Minister said, human stands by humankind in critical situations. It is the responsibility of every aware citizen. He lauded Tripura Civil Service Officer’s Association for taking such initiative to extend helping hand for the flood victims in Silchar. He said, Tripura Civil Service Officer’s Association has stood by humankind with their public welfare activities in every way, be it during Covid-19 pandemic situation or conducting blood donation campaigns and sending help to flood affected areas. This is a noble initiative taken by the Association.

The Chief Minister has informed that he has also enquired about the flood situation on behalf of the government. He hoped for the situation to come under control and that the relief materials will serve to helpful to the flood victims. Others present during the flagging off program were President of Tripura Civil Service Officer’s Association Dilip Kumar Chakma, Secretary Asim Saha and officials of different departments.
