Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb met Union Home Minister Amit Shah , Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP president J P Nadda during his visit to Delhi.
While meeting with the BJP president is believed to have pivoted around the party’s organizational matters, especially ensuing by poll, with Union Home Minister the Chief Minister mostly discussed Bru Rehabilitation matters and shifting of the Assam Rifles 21 sector Headquarters from the Circuit House area to other place.. While meeting Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Deb pressed for setting up of the Sainik School in the state as early as possible.
“It was an honour to meet with Hon’ble Home Minister, Adarnia @AmitShah Ji. Apprised him about the development of Bru Rehabilitation in Tripura. Along with this, informed him about the obstacles being faced in the opening of Sainik School in the state,” the Chief Minister tweeted.
“The land issue of Assam Rifles was also discussed. He assured all help from the central govt. Much gratitude to him for his continuous support for the development of #Tripura,” he said in a separate tweet.
Earlier on Monday, the Tripura Chief Minister also met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
They discussed Tripura government’s development policies and setting up a Sainik School. According to Deb, the Defence Minister assured that his ministry and central government would extend all required support.
Later in a Facebook post, Deb wrote, “Honoured to meet with the Hon’ble Defence Minister of India, Adarniya Rajnath singh Ji today. Apprised him about #Tripura govt’s developmental policies & had a discussion on opening Sanik School in #Tripura. He assured all the required support from the ministry & central govt.”
