Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya today had a high level meeting with the Chief Ministers of different states via video conference. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha also took part in the virtual meeting today from the Secretariat. The main topics discussed in the meeting were- National Health Mission, Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, allotted funds for different states under the 15th Finance Commission, Ayushman Bharat scheme, progress of different states in regard with providing precaution doses in case Covid-19 vaccination. The Chief Ministers and Health Ministers of different states discussed elaborately on the progress of Covid-19 vaccination including public health sector.

      Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha asked for the central government’s cooperation in setting up of Critical Care Blocks in different District Hospitals of the state. Besides, the Chief Minister also urged the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare to increase the fund allotted under 15th Finance Commission for construction of Pucca building for those health sub-centres in the state which do not have Pucca buildings. Apart from that, the Chief Minister acquainted the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare about different developmental schemes implemented in the state in the public health sector. The Chief Minister said, according to the SC list, 95% families in the state have been brought under Ayushman Bharat scheme so far. The matter of bringing the rest 5% beneficiary families of Antyodaya Ann Yojana under Ayushman Bharat scheme was discussed with great importance. Secretary of Health & Family Welfare department, Government of Tipura Debashish Basu was also present in the virtual meeting along with the Chief Minister.
