Tripura’s Chief Electoral Officer, Puneet Agarwal, conducted an extensive inspection of the counting preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in the Gomati and South Tripura districts on Friday.
In Gomati district, Agarwal visited the Udaipur Ramesh English Medium School, the designated counting center for the assembly segments of 30-Bagma, 31-Radhakishorepur, 32-Matabari, and 33-Kakraban-Salgarah. The counting is scheduled for June 4. During his visit, Agarwal assessed the readiness of the counting setup and reviewed law and order arrangements. He also inspected the media center and the designated room for counting observers.
Agarwal was accompanied by key officials, including District Electoral Officer and DM Gomati Tarit Kanti Chakma, SP Gomati Namit Pathak, Additional DM Sumit Lodh, and SDM Udaipur Jayanta Bhattacharjee.
Following his inspection in Gomati, the CEO proceeded to the SDM office in Santirbazar, where he reviewed the strong room and the overall preparations for the counting process. He then held a meeting with the District Magistrate and District Electoral Officer of South Tripura, Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, alongside SP Ashok Kumar Sinha, SDM Santirbazar Abhedananda Baidya, SDPO Santirbazar Sougata Chakma, and the Returning Officers of the seven assembly segments.
