The benefits of different central public welfare schemes need to quickly reach the public. In this regard, the concerned department and organizations together have to take the active role for this, stated Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb at the State-Level Review Meeting of Disha Committee held at the Secretariat yesterday. He discussed about the progress of different central schemes being implemented in the state. He emphasized upon taking future work plans in order to implement central public welfare schemes. He said, it is important to generate awareness among the people about those central schemes and projects that have been recently implemented and also about those that are ongoing. He said, the concerned department must regularly keep a check upon the implementation of different central schemes in the state, which will enhance quality of work and lifetime of the assets will be prolonged.

Secretary of Education department Brijesh Pandey in the meeting elaborated about implementation of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and PM POSHAN (school mid-day meal) scheme in the state through pictorial presentation and statistics. He said, every school in the state will be brought under electrification under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. In this regard, the Chief Minister directed the officials of the department to take necessary initiative to ensure computer services in every school in the state besides ensuring electrification forming a task force to implement the work plans. Secretary of Education department said, pre-primary section has been started in 88 schools of the state. There are ICT in 312 schools. Vocational education has been started in 135 schools. Saksham Tripura scheme has been started in 400 schools. 400 schools were turned into Model Schools which is a commendable matter. Besides, computers and laptops were given to different schools and academic leader/ coordinators. He also mentioned that LPG gas connection has been given to different schools in the state under PM POSHAN scheme for mid-day meals. He said, kitchen gardens have been raised for 844 schools.

 Secretary of Power department in the meeting elaborated about implementation of central schemes, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana, Integrated Power Development Scheme and NLCPR schemes in the state under TSECL. In this regard, the Chief Minister directed the Secretary of the concerned department to take necessary initiative to quickly resolve power related issues.

 Director of Social Welfare & Social Education department Dr. Sidharth Shiv Jaiswal in the meeting elaborating about ICDS and Supplementary Nutrition Program in the state informed, at present there are 56 ICDS projects running in the state. 3,27,403 children of 6 months- 6 years of age and 56,218 pregnant ladies and lactating mothers were brought under Supplementary Nutrition Program in 9,911 Anganwadi Centres of the state. He informed, 10,735 smartphones have been provided to Anganwadi workers and Supervisors. 9,911 Growth Monitoring Devices have been provided to 9,911 Anganwadi Centres. LPG gas connections have been given to 3,874 Anganwadi Centres in first phase. Apart from that, different social pensions were also discussed about in the review meeting.

 Secretary of Urban Development department Kiran Gitte in the meeting elaborated about implementation of various central schemes in the state. He spoke about the present condition of urban body areas of the state under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). In this regard, the Chief Minister directed the department to take necessary steps to ensure that original beneficiaries get housing under the scheme. About door-to-door waste collection, the Secretary of the department informed, due to this the women SHGs are benefitting financially. He elaborated about different road construction in the state under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana through statistics. The progress of road construction work was also discussed in the meeting.

Secretary of Drinking Water & Sanitation department Kiran Gitte discussed about Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachha Bharat Mission (Gramin). He informed, so far 48.99% houses have received drinking water connection through tap under Jal Jeevan Mission. Apart from this, he highlighted the success achieved in Swachha Bharat Mission (Gramin), Govardhan Prakalp, hard and liquid waste management etc.

Secretary of Agriculture department Apurba Roy elaborated about implementation of Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana, Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana etc., in the state along withh statistics. In this regard, the Chief Minister directed the department to ensure that the farmers get the benefits of farmer welfare schemes and to take the initiative for marketing of different cash crops of the state through proper packaging.

 Secretary of Industry & Trade department Abhishek Chandra and Secretary of Food department Saradindu Choudhury discussed elaborately about implementation of central schemes. Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Cooperative Minister Ramprasad Pal, Chief Secretary Kumar Alok and Principal Secretary J. K. Sinha were also present in the meeting.
