The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is interrogating the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Sandip Ghosh in Kolkata.
Meanwhile, the West Bengal Health Department has appointed Dr. Manas Bandopadhyay as the new principal of the RG Kar Medical College and Dr. Saptarshi Chattopadhyay as the new medical superintendent and vice principal.
The State Government has also cancelled the earlier order in which the former principal of the R G Kar Medical College, Sandip Ghosh, was transferred to the National Medical College in Kolkata as its principal.
