Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha says BJP victory in TTAADC elections is vital for peace, tribal development, and accelerated growth. Addressing a Gomati rally, he highlighted BJP’s service-driven governance and commitment to inclusive development.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday asserted that the victory of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates in the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections is essential to ensure peace, stability, and rapid development in tribal areas. He said only the BJP has the vision, commitment, and governance model required to uplift tribal communities and strengthen grassroots democracy.
Addressing a public meeting organized by the BJP’s Matabari Mandal at Maharani in Gomati district, Dr. Saha said the BJP’s guiding philosophy is “seva hi sangathan”, meaning service is the organization. He emphasized that the party and its government function with people’s welfare at the core of their agenda.
“The Bharatiya Janata Party works with a clear mantra—first service to the state, then the party, and finally the individual. This approach distinguishes us from other political forces that prioritize personal and party interests over public welfare,” the Chief Minister said.

Referring to the future of the TTAADC, Dr. Saha stated that if the BJP forms the council in 2026, the pace of development will significantly accelerate. He stressed that the development of tribal communities can only be ensured under BJP leadership, as demonstrated by initiatives taken at both the state and national levels.
During his address, Dr. Saha engaged directly with the audience, asking whether they desired peace in the region. The crowd responded unanimously in affirmation. When he asked who they trusted to ensure that peace, the response was equally clear—the Bharatiya Janata Party. The Chief Minister said this trust reflected the people’s confidence in BJP governance.
Highlighting the party’s global stature, Dr. Saha said the BJP is not only the largest political party in India but also the largest in the world, and being associated with it is a matter of pride. He reiterated that BJP’s ideology revolves around service, organization, and inclusive growth.
The Chief Minister also drew comparisons between the present situation and the period when the ADC was under Left rule. He said the Communist regime failed to undertake meaningful development for tribal communities and neglected their long-term welfare.
“We have all seen what happened to the ADC during the Communist era and what is happening now. The required work for tribal development was not done. When BJP forms the ADC in the future, people will witness unprecedented development,” Dr. Saha said.

He referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s consistent emphasis on development, stating that the BJP has no agenda beyond growth and welfare. According to Dr. Saha, the party’s mission is to ensure that government schemes reach the last person in society, especially those living in remote tribal areas.

The Chief Minister highlighted historic policy steps taken by previous BJP-led governments, noting that a separate Tribal Affairs Department was established during the tenure of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He added that after Narendra Modi assumed office, a dedicated Ministry for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) was created to ensure focused and exclusive development of the region.
Dr. Saha also cautioned against misinformation campaigns allegedly run by opposition parties. He said those who are unable to approach people with development work resort to creating divisions along ethnic and community lines in an attempt to regain power in the ADC.
He alleged that decisions taken by the current ADC leadership have created administrative hurdles for the state government and problems for the general public. “Politics should not be a tool for exploitation. BJP will not accept governance that results in looting or misuse of power,” he said.

Calling upon the people of the ADC areas, Dr. Saha appealed for support to form a BJP government that would work for the development of every family. He assured that the party remains committed to transparent governance, peace, and inclusive progress.
The meeting was attended by BJP Pradesh General Secretary Bipin Debbarma, MLAs Abhishek Debroy and Jitendra Majumdar, District President Sabita Nath, Gomati District President Debal Debroy, and other senior party leaders.
