BJP on Friday observed Dhikkar Diwas (Condemnation Day) across the state to register their protests against various issues including the alleged conspiracy hatched by Trinamool Congress.

The Yuba Morcha and Mahila Morcha activists organized protest rallies and open meetings in all sixty constituencies. As part of the protest programmes, the ruling BJP displayed it’s strength for giving a message to the TMC.

The protest programme in Agartala registered a huge gathering with participation of the Mahila Morcha and Yuba Morcha activists from 14 mandals of the party’s Sadar (urban) and Sadar (rural) districts.

Party’s state general secretary Kishore Barman, who recently returned to the state from West Bengal to strengthen the organization, also participated in the protest programme in the city.

Addressing the programme, Barman heavily came down on TMC and alleged that apart from an attempt to create unrest, a conspiracy was also hatched to murder the Chief Minister recently.

Barman referred to his stay in West Bengal for a long time on party’s assignment and said he knows the tactics of Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress.

He said the people of Tripura would give a befitting reply as the TMC leaders from West Bengal insulted them in different ways.

“The people of Tripura believe in the principle of Athithi Devo Bhavo. But, if an Athithi (guest) comes to our state and insults our people then we also know how to deal with it,” Barman said in a message to the TMC.

Badharghat MLA Mimi Majumder and MLA Sushanta Chowdhury among other leaders were present in the central programme. ( With  support from Tripura Times)
