Pradesh BJP Mahila Morcha holds key conference in Agartala to discuss Union Budget 2026–27, highlighting inclusive growth, Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, and welfare measures under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s ninth consecutive budget.

The Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha organized a significant conference on Saturday at the party’s state office in Krishnanagar, Agartala, to deliberate on the Union Budget 2026–27 and its impact on various sections of society.

The programme was attended by Tripura BJP president and Member of Parliament Rajib Bhattacharjee, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. Among other prominent attendees were Tripura Government Chief Whip Kalyani Roy and senior party leader Jahar Saha. The conference witnessed participation from several women leaders and party workers across the state.

Addressing the media, former BJP MLA and current Pradesh BJP Mahila Morcha president Mimi Majumder said that the primary objective of the conference was to highlight the key features and welfare-oriented initiatives outlined in the Union Budget 2026–27. She emphasized that the budget reflects a comprehensive approach aimed at uplifting every section of society, particularly women, youth, farmers, and marginalized communities.

The Union Budget 2026–27 was tabled by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, marking her ninth consecutive presentation of the national budget. Majumder noted that the budget aligns with the philosophy of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, focusing on the principle of reaching the last person in society and ensuring inclusive development.

She further described the budget as being in sync with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of building a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047. According to party leaders, the financial roadmap laid out in the budget is designed to accelerate economic growth, enhance infrastructure development, strengthen social welfare schemes, and promote women-led development initiatives.

During the conference, speakers elaborated on several key provisions of the budget, including measures for entrepreneurship, skill development, rural advancement, and enhanced allocations for welfare programmes. The leaders asserted that the Union Budget 2026–27 is a forward-looking document that balances fiscal responsibility with social empowerment.
