In Tripura, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has commenced an extensive door-to-door campaign starting Thursday. Prominent party leaders, including the Chief Minister and cabinet ministers, along with various party officials, embarked on a grassroots outreach initiative, reaching out to voters across different booth areas in the state.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, in support of the BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate Biplab Kumar Deb, led a door-to-door campaign in Sipahijala district. Accompanied by key party figures such as TIDC chairman Nabadal Banik and former MLA Birendra Kishore Debbarma, Dr. Saha visited residences in various areas, including Booth No. 10 of Lakshmichara in Kanchanmala and the Jugal Kishorenagar area under TTAADC. Handing out informational leaflets and copies of a letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dr. Saha highlighted the developmental works undertaken by the government, urging voters to support Biplab Kumar Deb.
Meanwhile, State BJP President Rajib Bhattacharjee led a similar campaign in the Bamutia assembly constituency, expressing confidence in the party’s victory. Distributing copies of PM Modi’s letter advocating for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (developed India), Bhattacharjee emphasized the dedicated efforts of party activists at the grassroots level in reaching out to voters.
Deputy Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly, Ram Prasad Pal, also actively campaigned in his assembly constituency, Surjyamaninagar, reaffirming confidence in the BJP’s potential win.
Former Minister Bhagaban Das and Pradesh BJP Spokesperson Nabendu Bhattacharjee were among others who conducted door-to-door campaigns, soliciting support for the BJP’s candidate, Biplab Kumar Deb.
Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder engaged in similar efforts, visiting various areas under the Ramnagar assembly seat, emphasizing development and good governance as the basis for seeking votes.
Former MLA and present Pradesh BJP Mahila Morcha President Mimi Majumder, accompanied by local leaders, canvassed for support for Biplab Kumar Deb in different areas under the 13 No. Pratapgarh Mandal.
Speaking about the burgeoning momentum, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha articulated, “The overwhelming response from constituents is indicative of their satisfaction with the incumbent government’s performance. With this groundswell of support, victory in both Lok Sabha seats is virtually assured.”
