As political activity intensifies in Tripura, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has stepped up preparations for the upcoming by-election in the 56-Dharmanagar Assembly constituency. In a significant show of organizational strength, the party convened a high-level strategy meeting at its local office on Sunday, signaling the importance it attaches to retaining the seat.
The meeting was attended by Manik Saha, along with senior ministers, MLAs, and key organizational leaders. Their presence highlighted the seriousness with which the ruling party is approaching the by-poll, which is expected to witness a competitive triangular contest.
The by-election has been necessitated following the demise of sitting MLA Biswa Bandhu Sen, a veteran leader whose absence has left a significant political vacuum in the constituency. Saha also called upon party workers to remain united and proactive, urging them to reach out to every voter and ensure a decisive victory for the BJP candidate. He expressed confidence that the party would not only retain the seat but also increase its winning margin compared to previous elections.
