Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb will address the election rallies of BJP in Manipur on Friday.
The Chief Minister who had gone to Madhya Pradesh at to attend a programme in Khajuraho would fly to Imphal to participate in the party campaign there. He would address several rallies in Manipur and then return to Tripura, expectedly on Sunday.
Manipur is witnessing a high pitch election campaign and the BJP is desperate to retain the state as it’s alliance National Democratic Alliance fights the polls directly against the Congress led opposition forum Manipur Progressive Secular Alliance.
The Manipur poll campaign is also likely to be dwelling considerably on the issues relating to the AFSA which remained a burning topic in the state beleaguered by several decades old militancy, especially after the recent civilian massacres at adjoining Nagaland.
