Former Chief Minister and present Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb on Wednesday held a door-to-door campaign in view of the forthcoming 2023 assembly polls.

Deb visited Hrishi Para area near Pratapgarh English medium school in Ward no 43 of Agartala Municipal Corporation. He was accompanied by Deputy Mayor Manik Das Datta and other local leaders and karyakartas of the party.

Speaking to the reporters during the door-to-door campaign, Deb highlighted various facilities entitled to the common people of the state especially for the poorer sections under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Five kgs rice per person in every family, water connections, gas connections, social pensions and many more– people have seen real development under BJP’s tenure”, said Deb.

He added that as the place was a temporary colony, many people did not have several important documents. Once the documentation was done properly, they would be able to achieve all sorts of benefits from various schemes under state and central government, said the former Chief Minister.

“Ensuring inclusive development to the last individual of the society is one of our priorities. In addition, informing them on various issues related to citizen rights, creating awareness about central and state’s schemes and realizing its benefits are the motto behind holding such campaign”, Deb.

Deb further said, “Development was neglected for a long time just for the sake of narrow political interests. But with the induction of BJP governance, overall development is gaining momentum in every nook and corner of the state”.

Multiple development activities are being implemented in Pratapgarh Rishi Para including cast and paver block roads, he said.

“I am deeply touched by the hospitality of the residents of Hrishi Para. I am extremely grateful for this genuine love and kinship”, he added.
