Former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb donated blood at a mega camp in Agartala on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, organised by NCC and West Tripura district administration under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, promoting service, compassion and social responsibility.

Former Tripura Chief Minister and BJP national general secretary Biplab Kumar Deb donated blood at a mega blood donation camp organised in Agartala on Thursday to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.

The blood donation camp was organised at Pragya Bhavan as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, with the initiative involving the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and the West Tripura district administration. The programme formed part of a series of service-oriented activities organised to observe the Prime Minister’s birthday.

Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha and Biplab Kumar Deb attended the programme, where they interacted with blood donors and reviewed the arrangements at the venue. Dr Saha inspected the facilities before also donating blood at the camp.

Deb, who represents the Tripura West Lok Sabha constituency, participated in the blood donation drive and later spoke to reporters about the significance of the initiative. He said the programme provided an opportunity to promote the values of service, compassion and humanitarian responsibility.

In a message marking the occasion, Deb said he was pleased to participate in the blood donation camp organised as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ on the Prime Minister’s birthday. He extended wishes for Narendra Modi’s long life and good health and called for people to uphold the spirit of service and empathy towards society and the nation.

Speaking after donating blood, Deb also highlighted Prime Minister Modi’s long political career and his work in public life. He said Modi had served the people first as Chief Minister and later as Prime Minister of the country.

Deb said India was progressing towards the objective of ‘Viksit Bharat’ under Modi’s leadership. He also referred to developments in the country’s defence sector, stating that India was moving towards greater self-reliance through the domestic production of warships, fighter aircraft and other defence equipment.

The BJP national general secretary further referred to the Digital India initiative, saying that digital services that had once appeared difficult for ordinary citizens to access had become increasingly available through government initiatives.

The blood donation programme aimed to connect the Prime Minister’s birthday celebrations with a public service activity. The organisers said blood donation was intended to convey a message of standing with people and contributing to society through humanitarian service.
