Left Front convener in Tripura and a veteran CPM leader Bijan Dhar has been shifted to a Kolkata hospital. He had been admitted in GB Hospital’s Covid Care centre but as his condition deteriorated the decision to shift him to Kolkata was taken. On Saturday he could not be shifted but on Sunday he was flown in there in an air ambulance.
Dhar is also a patient of acute diabetes .
“Doctors said his condition is presently stable but they said it may turn critical any moment. The creatinine level has shot up”, said one of Dhar’s relatives.
He said the veteran Communist leader’s kidneys due to high sugar level were not in a position to accept some types of medicines which would be required for Covid treatmen
