Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar felicitated the members of the Hockey India winning team of Men’s Asia Cup Hockey Championship 2025, recently held in Rajgir.
Mr. Kumar praised the splendid performance of the Hockey India team and the support staff. He honoured the players at a ceremony organized in Patna.
On 7th September, the Indian team, led by captain Harmanpreet Singh, defeated South Korea in the final to win the Asia Cup Hockey Championship title.
The Chief Minister had announced a cash award of 10 lakh rupees for each player of the Asia Cup 2025 champion Indian team and 5 lakh rupees for each member of the support staff.
A total amount of 2.5 crore rupees was handed over to the Indian team today through cheque. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha were also present at the function.
